The 2014 SRT Jeep Grand Cherokee of Brunei

Hi folks, just want to share the other 3 units of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT that arrived for this year Brunei quota.  Yeap, Jeep SRT is rare.  I watched a video recently where the CEO of SRT mentioned only 4500 Jeep SRT will be produced yearly.  Of 3000 units will be allocated to US Market, the remaining 1500units will be scattered around the world.

I was told Brunei are allocated to 4 units per year.  This year batches are already sold out, so if you want one better hurry up and deposit for the 2014 batch. I was also been told that there are only 6 units of 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.

The first batch that arrived for 2013 was Brilliant Black Crystal and Deep Cherry Red Crystal. I was actually been told that second batch for 2013 will arrive in December 2013.  Who would know it actually arrived 2 weeks after the first batch.  Initially I was told second batch is another Brilliant Black Crystal and Bright White. And when I pay a visit to the stock yard to check on my car, I was surprised to see a Redline 2 parking next to my SRT Jeep!  I was pretty mad to be misinform!

Please don't get me wrong, I am very very happy of my Brilliant Black Crystal but I am very disappointed of the way the dealer handle their stocks information.  I learned a lot from this experience.  Next time this won't happen again to me.  Anyway, here are the pictures of the other colors I took from the stock yard, Enjoy!

Deep Cherry Red Crystal - In my opinion, this type of red is more suitable for sedan like the SRT Chrysler 300C

Redline 2 - I called this the Ferrari Red!

Bright White - This one was seen outside my shop.  Real thing actually look quite nice on Bright White!

Brilliant Black Crystal - This is my first impression of the black SRT Jeep before my color decision.  As I stepped out from my Dodge, I was greeted by this sinister stance and the black paint job just screamed "BAD BOY" at me.  Best of all, mine is the only one with Panoramic Roof!  So that's when I decided on the Brilliant Black Crystal!  The other Jeep next to my SRT is the normal Grand Cherokee

My Ride No.5 - 2014 JEEP Grand Cherokee SRT

Here it is Ladies and Gentlemen, my new ride, the 2014 JEEP Grand Cherokee SRT!  The new addition to my growing garage.  In case you are wondering, SRT stands for Street Racing and Technology.  SRT is a sub-brand from the Chrysler Group just like NISMO is to Nissan.  They cater models from Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep!  The sub-brand is also responsible for car such as the 2014 SRT Viper!

As of now, there are 4 units of 2014 JEEP Grand Cherokee SRT in Brunei.  One black, Two Reds and One White, mine being the first to come out from the showroom.  The differences between my car and the remaining 3 units? Mine is equipped with a full Panaromic sunroof!^_^

6.4l HEMI V8 engine, churn out 470hp with around 630nm of torque! This is also the first car that I had driven with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Here are some photos next to its sibling from the day I drove it out of the showroom

Lastly,  my car is equipped with capless fuel filler!  LOL, Yes I am a sakai, I had never seen a car that is not equipped with a fuel cap! More details and pictures in my next post. For now I want you to share my joy with my new JEEP SRT!

How popular is your Car Colors

Check it out guys!  How popular is your car color?  This is from DUPONT 2012 report. Can see that yellow is not popular at all. LOL. Hence my love for this color!  Top 3 is always the usual for the pass few years that I had been following this report.  Is either white, black or silver. I called these three the "play it safe" colors choices.

My Very First Drive!

Yeah everyone love this question.  Which was the first car that you driven?  Well for me, its the Mitsubishi Starwagon in 1997.  I was still back in Perth, Western Australia doing my high school.  I got my license at the age of 16 years 9 months(the legal age for license in Perth!).

At that time, this was my only family ride and my parent have to use this car to teach me my very first lesson.  The car, well, it was crap.  LOL!  Nevertheless, it was a first time thing and the experience was memorable.  After the following year my parent sold the car and bought two Toyotas. Sigh, I really miss my Aussie life.

p.s - sorry for not posting much lately, will post more very soon!
